From January 10-14, 2024, in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology showcased products and solutions related to digital transformation at the Laos Digital Week 2024 exhibition. Prime Minister of Laos, Sonexay Siphandone, and the Minister of Technology and Communication, Boviengkham Vongdara, visited the PTIT’s booth during the event.
The Digital Week 2024, organized by the Laos Ministry of Technology and Communication, aims to promote the use of innovative technology, information and communication technology (ICT), and digital technology in socio-economic development. The event includes various activities such as high-level forums on digital development and transformation, and exhibitions of telecommunications and innovation products from Laos and neighboring countries.
At the exhibition, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology was the only Vietnamese entity to showcase and introduce products and solutions related to digital transformation, including Robot Arms, LINKSAFE technology solution, Lancs NOS & Lancs FPGA core technology, ezAsset – smart asset management solution, ezFarm – smart farm management solution, ezTwin – Digital Twin technology application in smart building management, a virtual reality-based practical support system for pediatric clinical practice, multimedia-integrated electronic information platform for promoting and disseminating ethnic and religious issues, interactive 3D lecture design for various subjects, 3D exhibition “Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Islands of Vietnam – Historical and Legal Evidence,” and the digital university platform: PTIT Slink, PTIT MOOC.

The booth attracted over 200 visitors on the first day of the exhibition, including leaders from the Laotian government and major companies such as Unitel and Huawei, who explored potential collaborations with the institute in future training and research activities. Some businesses also sought information and expressed their desire to transfer products to the institute for further development.

Through the exhibition, the institute successfully promoted its image and introduced scientific and technological products, “Make in Vietnam” digital transformation solutions to businesses and government agencies in Laos, China, and Thailand.
It is noteworthy that in November 2023, a working delegation led by Minister Boviengkham Vongdara visited and collaborated with the institute. The two parties agreed to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the transfer and sharing of experiences in developing digital transformation solutions and training human resources for Laos.
