On August 8th, 2023, the delegation from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), led by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the President of PTIT, visited and had a meeting at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
The delegation had the presence of: Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the President of PTIT; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President of PTIT; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh – Director of the Center for International Education.
Victoria University of Wellington warmly welcomed the PTIT delegation :Mr. Alex Glidden – Associate Director – Partnerships at Victoria University of Wellington; Dr. Michael Winikoff – Head of School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington; and Dr. Ramesh Rayudu – Deputy Head of School of Engineering and Computer Science, Victoria University of Wellington.
During the working session, the leadership representatives of both universities discussed their institutions’ development processes and current strengths.
Accordingly, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh – Director of the Center for International Education, stated that PTIT is one of the most prestigious universities in the field of information and communication, with two training campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City that serve nearly 15,000 students, 15 undergraduate disciplines, 5 master’s programs, and 5 doctoral programs available at PTIT. Training IT professionals is a particular strength of PTIT.
During the meeting with the PTIT delegation, Mr. Alex Glidden provided information about the engineering program as well as the facilities, learning spaces, and research areas of the University of Wellington’s information management.
During the working session, both parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in the postgraduate International Joint Program, with particular focus on Master’s programs that emphasize research.
