On August 4th, 2023, the delegation from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), led by Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the President of PTIT, visited and had a meeting at Macquarie University in Australia.
The delegation had the presence of: Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, the President of PTIT; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President of PTIT; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh – Director of the Center for International Education.
Macquarie University warmly welcomed the PTIT delegation, with notable representatives including: Prof. Longbing Cao – Distinguished Chair in Artificial Intelligence, School of Computing, Macquarie University.
During the working session, the leadership representatives of both universities discussed their institutions’ development processes and current strengths. The parties have discussed collaboration and the promotion of research on Data Diversity and Artificial Intelligence, as well as the utilization of Artificial Intelligence’s potential in a variety of crucial domains. During this working session, both parties have also engaged in discussions regarding postgraduate education programs in Data Science, developing high-quality courses, and equipping experts in the field with the necessary knowledge and skills. Especially, scholarship policies for students, postgraduate researchers were emphasized , thereby contributing to the sustainable development of both the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence domains.
In particular, both universities expressed an interest in opportunities for collaboration and the creation of favorable conditions for mentoring and developing research fellows in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The visit and working session of the delegation from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology at Macquarie University were fruitful, promising to lead to numerous opportunities for collaboration and the growth of both institutions.
