MEETING FOR POTENTIAL COOPERATION BETWEEN PTIT AND RUSSIAN UNIVERSITIES

On 19 February 2020, PTIT had a meeting and working with the delegates from Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University (LETI) and National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) in Russia.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice Presedent of PTIT, leaders and representatives of faculties/departments of PTIT participated in the meeting with LETI and MIET delegates, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bobrikov Dmitry Alexandrovich and Ms. Kilina Alexandra Viktorovna.

Opening the meeting, representatives of PTIT, LETI and MIET made brief introductions about the Institute and the universities to get to know about each other better. Then the in-depth discussion followed with more focus on the opportunities of cooperation between PTIT and LETI as well as MIET.

During the discussion, the parties talked about the training and education programs provided. PTIT and Russian universities share a great number of majors/specialities in common in a variety of programs for different degrees. Potential cooperation activities identified include:

  • Students and teachers exchange
  • Short training courses/visiting study trip in majors of strength
  • Joint research
  • Joint training program and degree awarding

The meeting identified the opportunities in cooperation between PTIT and Russian universities in education and training, as well as in implementation of the Protocol between the Government of the Social Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Russian Federation. The parties agreed to have follow-up activities to seek for the cooperation in short-term training programs, joint research as well as teachers and students exchange activities, along with many other areas of cooperation.
