On the afternoon of October 5th, at the A2 Hall of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), the Center for International Education (CIE) held the workshop “Study in Italy 2023”.
The workshopwas attended by Professor Marco Abbiati – Science and Technology Counsellor, Embassy of Italy to Vietnam; Ms. Tran Hong Hanh – Director of Uni-Italia in Vietnam, Embassy of Italy; Ms. Nguyen Vu Hoang Minh – Representative of Temix Space Vietnam.
PTIT side attended by Representatives of PTIT’s leaders; Assoc. Prof. Dr Hoang Huu Hanh – Director of Center for International Education; MSc Pham Vu Minh Tu – Center for International Education; Lecturers from PTIT’s Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Telecommunications and Faculty of Multimedia.
The workshop provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn about the Italian education system and study and research opportunities in the country. Ms. Tran Hong Hanh – Director of Uni-Italia in Vietnam, Embassy of Italy, provided an overview of the structure of the Italian educational system, including academic degrees, categories of scholarships, and different training programs. Additionally, she shared about tuition fees, transportation, and accommodation… when students go to this beautiful Mediterranean coast country to study. She also emphasized that the Italy Government provides many types of scholarships, such as MAECI, Invest Your Talent in Italy, DSU, and university scholarships, thereby creating many possibilities for scholarships for international students with a diverse selection, preference for outstanding academic achievement, family finances, and specific eligibility requirements.
Representative of Temix Space Vietnam Nguyen Vu Hoang Minh stated that Temix Space Vietnam is a member of the Temix Group, an Italian private company with over 30 years of experience in the Telecommunications and Electronics industries. Temix Space also offers many grants to PTIT students majoring in Telecommunications and Electronics who have a passion for training the next generation to carry on and inherit the values that Temix has cultivated over the years.
Professor Marco Abbiati – Science and Technology Counsellor, Embassy of Italy in VietNam – commended the CIE for facilitating this informative workshop and expressed his delight that the students expressed a great interest in the program.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Director of the CIE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Hu Hanh expressed gratitude to the workshop’s visitors for providing the students of PTIT with lots of information about studying abroad in Italy. In the future, he expects that the workshop will provide more opportunities for students to discover a suitable, high-quality learning environment.
