Full Scholarship Graduate Internship Program in Germany is a collaborative initiative between Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) and Briese Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG (Briese Group), set to commence in 2024.
Briese Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG, established in 1984 and headquartered in Leer, Germany, is a maritime transport company with 33 offices worldwide, over 400 office employees, and more than 2000 sailors. Currently, Briese manages 121 ships and oversees 176 new construction projects globally. The company places a strong emphasis on investing in modern technology, which requires a highly skilled IT workforce. Therefore, Briese is committed to building a team of highly competent and specialized personnel.
The program aims to provide IT students with opportunities to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting, enhancing practical skills and improving employability. Additionally, it offers students exposure to advanced technology and workflows at one of Germany’s leading companies.
1. Program Information
- Internship Period: 6 months (From August 2024 to January 2025)
- Internship Location: Briese Schiffahrt headquarters in Leer and Hamburg, Germany
- Internship Format: On-site at Briese Schiffahrt

- 05 Students
3. Eligibility Criteria
- Fourth-year undergraduate students majoring in Information Technology at PTIT who are eligible for an internship in 2024;
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher by the time of scholarship evaluation
- Valid English certificate
- Priority given to students with experience in Javascript, .NET, Node JS, React, Database (SQL), and product development
4. Scholarship Selection Process
- Round 1: Application CV round based on PTIT criteria (Deadline: June 30, 2024)
- Round 2: Interviews with Briese Schiffahrt leadership and notification of selected candidates (By July 7, 2024)
5. Benefits
Selected students will receive a full scholarship sponsored by PTIT and Briese Schiffahrt for the entire 6-month internship in Germany, including:
- Round-trip airfare
- Visa application fees
- Accommodation expenses during the internship in Germany
- Monthly scholarship of 600 EUR per student
- Opportunity to learn German with support from Briese Schiffahrt
- Potential employment in Germany post-internship with a salary of up to 4000 EUR and the possibility of permanent residency
Additionally, selected students will have specific benefits such as:
- Option to convert/recognize internship results as credits for graduation internships
- Ability to defend their graduation thesis online from Germany (subject to meeting graduation thesis defense conditions)
