On August 9, 2024, PTIT signed a cooperation agreement with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia.

The signing ceremony was attended by:

Dr. Daniel Chin, Regional Manager, Southeast Asia, QUT International
Representatives from PTIT included:

During the meeting, the representatives from both institutions shared information about their development processes and current strengths. Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Vice President, PTIT highlighted that PTIT is a prestigious public university in the field of information and communication, ranked among the top 3 universities in IT education in Vietnam. PTIT has campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with over 29,000 students. PTIT offers programs in various fields including Information Technology, Multimedia, Telecommunications, Electronics, Journalism, and Financial Technology. Notably, PTIT was one of the first universities in Vietnam to offer a specialization in Multimedia.

Additionally, Dr. Pham Vu Minh Tu, Deputy Director (In charge), Center for International Education, PTIT expressed gratitude to QUT for facilitating and collaborating to reach an agreement, resulting in the successful signing of the cooperation agreement. This agreement is a significant step in PTIT’s development strategy for 2020-2025, focusing on establishing international training programs. It also represents a continuation of the success of previous joint training programs at PTIT.

Dr. Le Thi Hang, Vice Dean (In charge) Faculty of Multimedia, PTIT, emphasized the importance of collaborating with QUT to enhance training quality and scientific research at PTIT. She also expressed hope that PTIT and QUT will further expand cooperation, particularly in developing joint master’s programs, possibly following the 3+1+1 model.

On behalf of QUT, Professor Mark Harvey, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President introduced QUT’s training programs, facilities, and student learning and research environments. Professor also shared plans for future collaboration in training, student exchange, and joint research activities between PTIT and QUT.
