From April 3 to April 8 2024, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology(PTIT) will organize the 2024 VLIR-SI project “Promoting inclusive digital transformation for rural households through multimedia solutions” with activities: “Workshop on VR/AR application development – educational perspective”; “Hands-on workshop on VR/AR contents co-creation with Women and Youth Unions”; and Project coordination committee meeting.
1. Project objectives
– Training session “Workshop on VR/AR application development – educational perspective” is aimed to exchange expertise on VR/AR and improve knowledge on designing and implementing educational and training programs.
– Training session “Hands-on workshop on VR/AR contents co-creation with Women and Youth Unions” is aimed to help local women and youth improve their understanding of VR/AR, equip them with Essential skills to participate in the creation and development of VR/AR content.
– Project coordination committee meeting is aimed to discuss information and actual project progress among coordination board members.
2. Project time and schedule
Training session “Workshop on VR/AR application development – educational perspective”:
– Time: April 3, 2024
– Main activities:
+ Exchanging expertise and sharing aspects of VR/AR used in education to enhance digital skills for rural people.
+ Design and implement educational programs using VR/AR to improve people’s skills and knowledge, promoting economic development in rural areas.
Training session “Hands-on workshop on VR/AR contents co-creation with Women and Youth Unions”
– Time: April 4-5, 2024 (Include traveling)
– Main activities:
+ Organize a VR/AR experience activity area to introduce the application of VR/AR in tourism promotion and development, and increase people’s understanding of VR/AR technology and its potential in supporting education, vocational training, and community development;
+ Guide target groups from the Women’s Union and Youth Union in using and creating VR/AR content to design and develop projects to promote and develop the economy, society and community in Vietnam.
The project focuses on development and testing digital solutions with VR/AR and guidelines for effective digital competence skills training activities for agricultural extension and rural development target groups in rural especially women and youth.
