2. Scholarship Program at La Trobe University
With its international reputation and outstanding education system, La Trobe University offers international students opportunities to study and grow at one of the world’s top universities. Specifically, the university currently offers two prestigious scholarships exclusively for PTIT students enrolled in the joint Information Technology training program:
- La Trobe East Asia Academic Excellence Scholarship
- La Trobe East Asia Creative Talent Scholarship
2.1. La Trobe East Asia Creative Talent Scholarship
This scholarship offers a 50% reduction in annual tuition fees for international students enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate programs at La Trobe University for the entire duration of the course.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a citizen and currently residing in Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, or Cambodia;
- Must apply for an eligible program listed by the university;
- Minimum academic requirements:
- For undergraduate programs: a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80% and an IELTS score of 7.0 (no individual band below 7.0).
- For postgraduate programs: a minimum WAM of 75% and an IELTS score of 7.0 (no individual band below 7.0).
- Must commence studies at one of La Trobe’s campuses in Victoria in the first semester of 2025;
- Must have an offer of admission before applying for the scholarship. Any exceptions require approval from La Trobe University, but all students must pass the Genuine Student Assessment, including a financial check, before scholarship consideration.
Selection and Evaluation Criteria:
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Academic performance;
- English language proficiency;
- Extracurricular/social involvement;
- Application video assessment;
- Evaluation of creative skills and content production capability.
The number of successful applicants will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation process and final selection by La Trobe University.
Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients:
- The scholarship cannot be deferred to 2026. If a visa is not granted for 2025, the scholarship may be canceled;
- Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment at La Trobe’s campus in Victoria and demonstrate satisfactory academic progress;
- Complete assigned creative content tasks by La Trobe University during the study period;
- Participate in all training programs offered by La Trobe University’s Marketing team.

- An unconditional offer letter from La Trobe University for the first semester (March) of 2025.
- Evidence of current academic performance.
- Valid proof of English language proficiency.
- Evidence of extracurricular involvement and awards (if applicable).
- A creative portfolio that includes examples of creative work such as social media posts, recorded and edited videos, educational projects, advertisements, or entertainment content. If you have experience with software such as Adobe Premiere, Canva, or Lightroom, provide specific examples.
- A self-made video, up to 3 minutes in English, explaining: “Why do you consider yourself the ideal candidate for this scholarship?”
2.2. La Trobe East Asia Academic Excellence Scholarship
