On September 27, 2024, Center for International Education, PTIT collaborated with University of Huddersfield, UK, organized a guest lecture “The future of intelligence: Exploring the impact of AI on our world” featuring Professor Rupak Kharel, Associate Dean International, School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield, UK.

During the lecture, Prof. Rupak Kharel discussed the development of AI across various fields of life, from healthcare, education, and industry to agriculture. He highlighted how AI has transformed the way people work, enhancing productivity and creating new values. Additionally, the professor raised the question of how AI can continue to advance in the future while still serving the common good and not becoming a threat. Moreover, students were introduced to different algorithms and were able to ask questions on how to develop skills that would not be replaced by AI. The students expressed great interest in this valuable topic, asking questions and engaging in discussions with Professor Rupak Kharel to explore the issues further.
At the end of the lecture, the students thanked the professor and expressed their hope for more lectures on AI in the future.
