1. Program Introduction
The University of Canberra was established in 1968 and is a member of the Australian Network of New Generation Universities. It is also one of Australia’s leading universities. The University of Canberra’s Bruce campus is home to 87,300 alumni and more than 16,000 current students from over 107 countries, creating a vibrant learning environment where students have the opportunity to make friends and engage in cultural exchange with international peers.
Canberra, the capital of Australia, is designated as a priority migration area, offering graduates better job opportunities compared to cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. In terms of teaching quality, the University of Canberra has consistently received a five-star rating for graduate starting salaries and career prospects.
2. Training Format
For the Single Degree Program
Phase 1: Students complete the first 3 years of study at PTIT.
Phase 2: Students continue their studies for the next 1 year at the University of Canberra, Australia
For the Dual Degree Program
Phase 1: Students complete the first 3 years of study at PTIT.
Phase 2: Students continue their studies for the 1 year at the University of Canberra, Australia
Phase 3: Students complete the final 0.5 years at PTIT to obtain a degree conferred by PTIT.

Graduates can take on roles in the following fields:
+ Multimedia Design Roles: Positions include Digital Content Developer, Graphic Designer, Animator, UX Researcher/UX Designer, UI Designer, VFX Designer, Game Artist, Advertising Designer, Electronic Publishing Designer, and Illustrator.
+ Project Management and Creative Leadership: Positions such as Project Manager, Creative Director, Art Director, and Design Team Lead.
+ Multimedia Application Development Roles: Positions include Web Developer, Game Developer, Text/Image/Audio/Video Processing Specialist, 3D Simulation Product Developer, Virtual Reality (VR) Developer, Augmented Reality (AR) Developer, Mixed Reality (MR) Developer, Extended Reality (XR) Developer, Digital Modeling and Digitization Specialist, Mobile Application Developer, Multimedia Application Project Manager, and Metaverse System Integration Specialist.
+ Public Sector Positions: Roles within public institutions, including Multimedia System and Digital Content Designer/Developer, and Teaching Staff at Research Centers and Educational Institutions.
+ Research Positions: Opportunities to become a researcher with the potential to pursue higher education at the master’s (MSc) and doctoral (PhD) levels to support research and teaching in multimedia design and application development at institutes, research centers, and universities.
5. Entrance requirements
- Single Degree
+ Students who graduate from high school and have an average GPA of 10th, 11th,12th grade subjects according to the A00 or A01 exam combination is 6.5 or higher.
+ For candidates studying in grade 12 who wish to apply for admission before graduating from high school, candidates must submit their study results in the 10th, 11th, and 1st semesters of 12th grade and supplement the following missing documents when there is a notice of admission (conditional) of the program.
+ Language requirements: candidates must have at least English level 4 according to the 6-level Foreign Language Competency Framework for Vietnam or international IELTS 5.5 or equivalent TOEFL score or pass the school’s PTIT TEST English test. (The equivalent conversion table is in the attached Appendix).
+ Admission method: Admission is based on high school results and English proficiency.
- Dual Degree
+ Students have been admitted to the Single Degree Programs
+ Students admitted to PTIT’s Muiltimedia Technology standard programs
6. Tuition fees and scholarships
– Tuition fees:
- Tuition fees for the first 3 years at PTIT: 50.000.000 – 55.000.000 VND/year.
- Tuition fees for the following 1 years at uc: 36.400 AUD/year (equivalent to about 580 million VND/year).
– Scholarship:
- Scholarship of 30% tuition fee reduction per year based on GPA.
7. Transfer requirements
+ Students who complete the first 2 years of study under an approved associate program outlined in this admission notice;
+ Have IELTS (academic) score of 6.0 or higher;
+ Proof of financial ability to complete the course at University of Canberra;
+ Meet all the conditions/requirements of the Australian Embassy in Vietnam to be granted a student visa to study in Australia.
+ Students participating in the program are supported with free consulting services and support for transferring documents to University of Canberra.
