On April 3, 2024, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology start the 2024 activity programme, VLIR–SI project with PTIT, including the first training session on “Workshop on VR/AR application development – educational perspective”

In the welcoming speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Tran Quang Anh – Vice President of PTIT, expressed to honored to receive for the first time a project under the VLIR-UOS funding framework for small and medium-sized initiatives on “Promoting comprehensive digital transformation for rural households through multimedia solutions” – VLIR-SI project has been implemented starting from September 2023, coordinated by PTIT CIE.
Assoc. Prof. Dr.Tran Quang Anh also hope that lecturers will acquire additional knowledge and accumulate experience in developing materials, products of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) with an approach based on pedagogical, educational, and psychological perspectives.
In this first training session, Prof. Martin Valcke from Ghent University shared expertise on VR/AR, enhancing knowledge about designing and creating VR/AR lessons. The participants were shown practical examples and had direct practice to better understand the technology and its effective application in reality.
The second training session “Hands-on workshop on VR/AR contents co-creation with Women and Youth Unions” will be held in Ninh Binh from April 4-5, aiming to help women and youth in the area improve their understanding of VR/AR, and equip them with essential skills to participate in the content creation and development process of VR/AR.
