In cooperation between the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), Temix Technology Company, and the University of Catania, the program will offer scholarships for the Master of Electronics and Telecommunications program in the academic year 2024-2025 at the University of Catania (Italy) for final year students of PTIT with the following details:
1. Selection criteria and requirements
- Final year students of PTIT (final year students must submit their application first and supplement their degree before July 31, 2024).
- English proficiency equivalent to B2 (CEFR) or higher.
- Other requirements according to the training program of the LM-27 COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING major of the partner university.
2. Selection process
- Round 1: Application according to the requirements of the University of Catania.
- Round 2: Interview with the leaders of Temix Technology Company and final decision-making.
3. Application submission
The application includes the following items (submit scanned pdf files), sent to the email address cie@ptit.edu.vn by March 10, 2024 (Vietnam time), with the email subject, clearly stating “Applicant for Master’s Degrees – UniCt 2024-2025 – [Student ID]”:
- Passport (only the page with the photo and student’s information);
- A copy of Degree (in English or translated and notarized into English). Students who have not yet graduated must submit their diplomas before July 31, 2024.
- University transcript (in English or notarized English translation).
- Syllabus descriptions (in English)
- Recommendation letter from the PTIT’s lecturers.
- Curriculum vitae in English following the “European Model” (https://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/documents/curriculum-vitae);
- English language certificate (if available).
- Statement of purpose (a brief essay outlining the purpose of study, up to 4000 characters including spaces).
- Other certificates (e.g., extracurricular activities, scientific research, awards, international exchange study results, etc.) are attached under the CV (as a single pdf file).
- Application fee for the program upon completion of the online application (10 EUR).
4. Benefits
- 100% tuition waiver and living expense support in Italy.
- PTIT graduates in Telecommunications who are accepted into the Communications Engineering program of UniCT will have some credits waived.
- Additionally, PTIT students accepted into the Communications Engineering program of the University of Catania will have opportunities for internships during their studies and job opportunities after graduation at Temix Technology Company (offices in Italy or Vietnam).
