INFORMATION ABOUT “THE BELT AND ROAD” FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

  1. Introduction to the training program
    • Sichuan University is a high-level research-oriented institution with a national priority in the development of Western China.   1. Conditions for receiving scholarships

Requirements for candidates with a bachelor degree:

    1. Non-Chinese citizen aged 18 to 35 years old, in good health and having a valid foreign ordinary passport;
    2. For applicants who are Chinese citizens and who have become foreign citizens, the Ministry of Education’s Notice of Employment Regulations Concerning Admission of Foreign Students by Colleges and National University.
    3. Education requirements: Candidates must have a high school diploma and demonstrate good performance.

Specialization in education in Chinese

    • Candidates applying for Literature, Law, Economics, Management, History, Philosophy, Education, Arts and Other Liberal Arts must score 180 or above on HSK 5 exam or other only another equivalent in Chinese proficiency accepted by the University; Candidates for Science, Engineering, Medicine and Agriculture must also score 180 or higher on HSK 4 exam or other equivalent certificates of Chinese language proficiency accepted by the University.

Specialized in English

    • Candidates who are native English speakers are exempt from submitting an English language certificate;
    • Candidates who are not native English speakers must submit TOEFL (iBT) (≥80) / IELTS (≥6.0) or another equivalent English certificate as an English proficiency certificate (for majors in English);
    • Candidates who are not native English speakers and have the highest level courses taught in English do not need to submit TOEFL / IELTS scores, but must provide proof of the language of instruction.
    • Note: If the candidate is a school student, the candidate must provide a graduation certificate before graduation issued by the school of study. Any student applying with a pre-graduation certificate is required to present an original certificate at graduation upon registration at our school. Otherwise, the student will be disqualified.
