ProEUHE: Promoting the EU and European higher education visibility among universities in Vietnam through multimedia communications
On August 17th, Posts and Telecommunications Insitute of Technology (PTIT) has been selected by the European Commission (EC) – the Education, Visualization and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) as the first implementing institution in Vietnam to implement a Jean Monnet project namely “ProEUHE – Promoting the EU and European higher education visibility among universities in Vietnam through multimedia communications”. The ProEUHE project aims to promote EU universities’s cooperation with Vietnamese universities through events and publications under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Activities, funded by the EU. PTIT is honored to be among the 360 projects selected out of a total of 1,447 eligible applications, with a score of 91/100. The Evaluation Committee highly appreciates the feasibility of the project through its diverse activities with the participation of valuable stakeholders and expertise who have insightful knowledge and understanding about EU.
Following are some main objectives of the project:
- Produce a variety of multimedia communication tools in order to promote and disseminate information about the EU, European integration and EU’s higher education.
- Increase understanding of the EU, European integration and the EU’s higher education among university students, leaders, and academic and non-academic staff in Vietnam
- Facilitate academic exchange and mobility between Vietnam and the EU.
To implement this project, PTIT assigns Center for International Education (CIE) as the local coordinator to organize a series of activities like kick-off meeting, EU Days, summer schools, training programs for interested attendants.
